PETA Update #4: Victory!

We did it, folks!

PETA has removed all references to National Infertility Awareness Week from their "Win a Vasectomy" campaign. I've closed the petition and we've come in at just over 2,200 signatures in just 3 days. This is an incredible victory for the infertility community.

Check out my vlog below for more information, and stay tuned for my open letter to PETA thanking them for hearing our voice and responding to our concerns.

Feel free to spread the good news!

They didn't remove it still from their features homepage. I don't see reference in the article for the contest, but on the features homepage it says: "In honor of National Infertility Awareness Week, PETA is giving away one free human vasectomy. Planning to have your dog or cat neutered? Enter now! READ MORE" this as of right now. :(

@Rachel L: I saw that this morning too. It looks like they've missed a directing page. I plan to address this in an open letter thanking them for removing all references from the campaign landing page, as well as calling them Monday morning. It looks like it was one of those "we forgot we also had it posted here" oversights. I'm willing to give PETA the benefit of the doubt on this having done web page management myself. It's easy to remember to update the big info page and forget about thte places from where it's referenced elsewhere on the site.
